Transportation


 

CARES Act Fact Sheet
$25 billion allocated to public transit in response to COVID-19. Funding is provided for four specific programs: urbanized area formula grants, rural area formula grants, state-of-good-repair formula grants, and growing/high-density states formula grants.

 
 
 

Urbanized Area Formula Grants
Federal funds available to urbanized areas and to governors for transit capital and operating assistance in urbanized areas and for transportation-related planning.

Formula Grants for Rural Areas
Offering assistance to states to support public transportation in rural areas where many residents often rely on public transit to reach their destinations.

State of Good Repair Grants
