Mental Health Workforce Student Support Non-Competitive Funding | Requests Close 5/28 at 5 PM CT

The Mental Health Workforce Student Support (MHWFSS) Program is a non-competitive funding opportunity for public or nonprofit universities in Winnebago County, IL, with programs that result in a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree, a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, or an advanced nursing degree in the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) specialty.

Interested and eligible universities should submit the following information to info@mentalhealth.wincoil.gov by May 28th, 2026, by 5:00 PM CT:

  • Evidence of public or nonprofit status
  • Recent financial audit 
  • Proof of physical campus location in Winnebago County, IL
  • Proof of academic calendar year course offering for the eligible degree program

Grassroots Funding | LOI Closed 9/12 at 5 PM CT

Grassroots Funding is a competitive funding opportunity for small, community-based nonprofits.

The first step is the Letters of Interest (LOI), which are due Friday, September 12th, at 5:00 PM CT. See the timeline document for all deadlines.

Letters of Interest (LOI)'s must be submitted on the Foundant Portal (Top of the page). Interested parties can make a new account.

The LOI opened in the portal on Monday, August 11th at 12:00 AM CT.
